On Thursday 18th June the Royal County played Surrey Away at North Sheen Bowling Club. Unfortunately we suffered some withdrawals ahead of the game so we drafted in several replacements from Berkshire and still had to borrow 2 bowlers from the host club to field 5 rinks. Our president was unavailable to participate in this match so Past President Peter Hitt took the game on his behalf and apologised for his absence.
The weather was kind with only a very brief interlude of very fine rain but otherwise dry but overcast throughout. Berkshire came away with a win on 3 and a draw on 1 of the 5 rinks.
