Unfortunately we suffered some withdrawals ahead of the game so we drafted in several replacements from Berkshire and still had to borrow 2 bowlers from the host club to field 5 rinks. Amy Rose Girls set for Leamington! The Wessex Border Bowlers, made up of under 25 girls from Berkshire and Wiltshire, played in the Regional Finals of the Amy Rose at Taunton BC on Sunday 14th June. They won 3 of their 4 games which put them second after Dorset, who won all of their matches.

Players are reminded of the BE  policy relating to smoking as outlined in Appendix E of their Rules and Regulations. Smoking on the green is prohibited during all matches played under the jurisdiction of Bowls England. For the purpose of clarification, the ‘green’ in this instance is deemed to include a minimum of 2 metres

On Wednesday 3rd June the Royal County hosted our near neigbours Middlesex at The Royal Household BC. We managed to play either side of showers this perseverance resulted in a win for Berkshire on 4 of the 6 rinks and importantly the overall match. Match Result: Berkshire Score – 104 shots Middlesex – 89 Shots

On Wednesday 20th May the Royal County travelled to Elsenham to take on Essex in the latest Inter Counties Match. This was the furthest Berkshire have had to travel to play this season, made a little easier with a victory for Berkshire by 20 Shots. Match Result: Berkshire – 99 shots Essex – 79 shot

On Wednesday 13th May the Royal County hosted Sussex at Maidenhead Town BC. Another changeable weather day with rain halting play after 12 ends for 10 minutes. The last 6 ends were then played beneath beautiful blue skies and glorious sunshine. Maidenhead Town deserve credit for their green, hospitality and the after game meal. The

RCBBA had a good day at the Home Counties Finals held at Old Caulsden BC on Sunday 10th May 2026. Callum Cox lost his Junior Singles in the semi finals after a hard fought game against Luke Bell of Hampshire. In the Pairs Carlos & Ryan Lali narrowly lost out to the pair from Buckingham

On Saturday 9th May the Royal County entertained Bowls Herefordshire at Lambourn Bowls Club. A beautiful sunny day for the most part, played on a new green that all at Lambourn are working hard to create. The hospitality at Lambourn was fantastic with drinks and biscuits being available during the game, appreciated by both counties.
